This week in Hollywood was a little bit quiet, but news got out that Reba McEntire will be joining the upcoming season of The Voice as a Mega Mentor. She will be joining mentors Chance the Rapper, Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan, Blake Shelton, but Reba’s role will vary a little bit from the other mentors’.
As a Mega Mentor, Reba will be working with contestants that make it through the Battle Rounds and help them prepare for the Knockouts. You won’t want to miss this season – it’s Blake’s last season as a mentor and they’re introducing all sorts of new twists this season as well. The premiere is on March 6th.
There’s also some exciting news in the NFL world with the upcoming Quarterback docuseries. Omaha Productions (Peyton Manning), 2PM Productions (Patrick Mahomes), NFL Films, and Netflix are teaming up to bring you a new docuseries that will give you a behind the scenes look at the NFL season. The goal is to provide a ‘unique and intimate look at what life is like as a starting quarterback’.
So far, the series is slated for one season and set to premiere in the summer. This first season will follow Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs), Kirk Cousins (Vikings), and Marcus Mariota (Falcons) in this most recent NFL season.
Despite the series not yet premiering, it’s predicted that it will be picked up for additional seasons, and each season will follow different players.
As for the music world, it’s looking like we’ll finally see a collaboration between the Rolling Stones and the remaining Beatles.
The Rolling Stones are working on a new album, and Paul McCartney has reportedly recorded bass parts for the new project. It’s also been tossed around that Ringo is also slated to play on the album, though it hasn’t been confirmed if he and Paul will be on the same tracks.
