Celebrate the official start of the fall season this weekend at the West Place Animal Sanctuary in Tiverton, RI!
West Place is a sanctuary on eight acres of land that is now home to the largest and most diverse group of rescued animals. It was created in 2007 and is a safe haven for animals large and small; they answer calls when animals are in need, act as a place of refuge to animals, and offer educational opportunities to students who wish to make a difference for animals.
This weekend, on September 23rd and September 24th, you have the opportunity to tour the sanctuary and meet the animals who call the sanctuary home. You’ll be able to meet alpacas, horses, cows, pigs, donkeys, goats, and dozens of other animals.
The tours range from 60 – 90 minutes and learn how you can get involved with the sanctuary. You will also be some of the first people to meet a variety of new arrivals and see some of the new facilities being built including the new Chicken House. In addition, you can visit the newly expanded gift shop.
