The music world exploded with announcement after announcement this week, starting with the news that there is a Huey Lewis musical headed to Broadway next spring!
The musical is called The Heart of Rock and Roll and it’s been described as a “raucous rom-com” and centralizes around a couple who think they know exactly what they want out of life, that is, until they meet each other. It will include Lewis songs such as The Heart of Rock and Roll, The Power of Love, Workin’ for a Livin, If This is It, and Stuck With You.
Previews for the show begin on March 29th and the show will officially open on April 22nd, 2024.
New Kids on the Block also announced that they will be headed out on the road next year with Paula Abdul and D.J. Jazzy Jeff!
After they made the tour announcement, they released a promotional video where they came to life as their once-popular line of dolls that were sold in the height of their fame. Check out the video below!

In the greater entertainment world, the unfortunate news of Matthew Petty’s passing was released last weekend and there has been non-stop talk of his life and his career.
As we well know, Perry was known most predominantly for his role as Chandler Bing on Friends in addition to reports of his struggles with addiction, but something Perry had said recently was that he wanted to be remembered for helping people.
