HAPPY FRIDAY, LISTENERS!

We’ve nearly reached the end of September and I’ve been talking for weeks now about my excitement for tv-premiere season and this week was a big one!

If you’re a fan of The Voice, 9-1-1: Lonestar, America’s Got Talent, the Chicago shows, The Masked Singer, 9-1-1, and Grey’s Anatomy, all of those shows are back as of this week!

As for new shows that premiered this week, you can catch Brilliant Minds on NBC, Penelope on NBC, Grotesquerie on FX, Doctor Odyssey on ABC, Colin From Accounts on Paramount+, Nobody Wants This on Netflix, and Social Studies on FX. 

I checked out Doctor Odyssey this week and can confirm this show is fantastic! I know I’ve built this show up a lot because Joshua Jackson is leading the series and I’m a huge fan of his, but after seeing the first episode, I really do think this show will be a hit! 

I also would recommend Nobody Wants This! The show is led by Adam Brody and Kristen Bell and I’ve only seen the first two episodes so far, but it’s hilarious and endearing!

As for upcoming projects, there’s a Legally Blonde prequel series in the works called Elle which will explore what leading lady Elle Woods’ life was like before the beloved Legally Blonde films. 

They’re looking to start filming in April of 2025 and there is currently an OPEN casting call! If you’re interested or know someone who may be interested, then check out this website to see what steps you have to take! You must be 18+ and submit two videos (one scene and one introduction video), a resume, and a headshot.

The sit-com Friends celebrated its 30th anniversary this week and Max announced that there’s a Friends game show in the works called Fast Friends! Hopefully, it’ll be similar to (or include elements from) the epic Friends trivia game in season 4.

The show will be four episodes and will be filmed next month in the FRIENDS Experience: The One in New York City. Teams of super-fans will compete against each other in challenges, puzzles, and trivia questions for the title of Ultimate Friends fan. The team who can complete these tasks the fastest will win the title!

Lance Bass chatted with Andy Cohen this week about an *NSYNC reunion and said that with the success of Trolls and Deadpool and Wolverine, it would almost be “stupid not to do something” and for fans to “hold your breath just a little longer. It’s going to take a little time, but [he does] think something’s coming.” Check out the video from the show here.
