This week, we learned that there could potentially be a Mariah Carey biopic in the works! Word on the street is that they’re going to be making a film adaptation of her 2020 memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey.
Nothing is confirmed yet, but all signs are pointing to the making of the film, especially the way that Mariah has been saying that she can’t do a world tour in 2025 because she has another project she’s working on that can’t be done on the road.
Lady Gaga also has a new project up her sleeve. She’s joined the cast of Wednesday for the show’s highly anticipated second season. No one has confirmed yet what her role will be, but her appearance in the show is confirmed.
If you’re a fan of boybands, check out Larger Than Life: Reign of the Boybands on Paramount+! The doc features band members from NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, New Edition, 98 Degrees, The Osmonds, the Hanson Brothers, Seventeen, and even looks at the lasting impact of groups like The Beatles, The Jonas Brothers, One Direction, and more. You’ll also get a glimpse into what life in a boyband was (and likely is) like, down to the strange rules they had to follow including no girlfriends, no photographs with cigarettes or drinks in hand, and no motorcycles.

We haven’t talked too much about Gladiator II, but it’s one of the biggest movie releases of 2024 and it’s coming out on November 22nd!
In anticipation of its release, Airbnb has put together a unique fan experience INSIDE the Colosseum. It’s not an overnight stay, but this will be the first time ever that people are allowed in the colosseum after hours.
According to People, “Once inside the historic arena, guests will “suit up in historically accurate armor and put their skills to the test to determine their fate in battle…Guests will be invited to watch “seasoned gladiators engage in a thrilling showdown” before training in the “art of gladiator combat” themselves and fighting against fellow warriors.”
Airbnb is offering two of these three hour experiences and each experience can accommodate up to 16 guests. The experience is 100% free and will take place on May 7th and May 8th of next year, but if you sign up, you will have to pay your way to Rome. Bookings for this experience open up on November 27th. Each year, People names the Sexiest Man Alive and this year, John Krasinski has received the honor! People has released tons of stories about John, but they also highlight a lot of other individuals in the sexiest Man Alive edition, including the male cast of New Girl reuniting for the first time since the series ended. Speaking of the sexiest men alive, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, who have both been named the Sexiest Man Alive in the past, have remained in the headlines for yet another week because of Deadpool and Wolverine.
The movie began streaming on Disney+ this past Tuesday and Kevin Keige, president of Marvel Studios, has spoken about the potential return of Deadpool and Wolverine saying, “The plans with Deadpool and Wolverine will always be the same: we’re always wondering where we can fit them in and how fast.”
In other Marvel news, it looks like Denzel Washington has joined the cast of Black Panther 3.

As for books, two breakout authors have new books coming! Taylor Jenkins Reid is releasing a book called Atmosphere on June 3rd, 2025 and Ally Carter is releasing a novel called The Blonde Who Came in from the Cold on August 5th, 2025.
In terms of book adaptations, if you loved Netflix’s adaptation of Elin Hilderbrand’s novel The Perfect Couple, Nicole Kidman, who played one of the series’ main characters, has been “playing with the idea of season 2”. Check out this article for more!
