First up this week on The Buzz, we finally have a trailer to the Weird Al biopic called Weird: The Al Yankovic Story!
Daniel Radcliffe is starring as Weird Al and the film promises to hold nothing back as it takes viewers on a journey through Al Yankovic’s life from the time he was a child and as he became the greatest music legend of all time.
The movie is going to be released on November 4th on the Roku channel and below is the trailer.
Another music legend was honored this week and that individual is Avril Lavigne! After 20 years in the music scene, she has been inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Her first album, Let Go, which is home to iconic singles such as Complicated and Sk8er Boi, was released 2 decades ago and is still just as influential today as it was when it was released.
This was a full circle moment for Lavigne – on her first trip to LA where she made the album Let Go, she took a walk down the Walk of Fame and took a photo with a star. Now, she was able to recreate that photo with her very own star.
Here are some photos Lavigne shared to her Instagram to commemorate the moment.
Lastly, another prominent female artist received quite the honor this week as well.
Madonna has officially become the 10th artist to achieve the honor of having a top ten album each decade since the 80s.
Her newest record Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones has reached No.8 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
Not only is she just the 10th artist to accomplish something so monumental, she is also the first and only woman to achieve this. She sits in a pool with legendary artists like Paul McCartney, AC/DC, Springsteen, Metallica, Def Leppard, Ozzy Osbourne, Robert Plant, Prince, and James Taylor, and she will forever stand out for her immense talent and for being the stand-alone female on this list.
Here’s a link to her most recent album!
