For all you Twihards out there (you know who you are!), there’s exciting news on the horizon! They announced late this week that there is a Twilight TV Series in the works!
The series is early in development, so there aren’t too many details yet, but the series will be based off of the much-loved books by Stephanie Meyer and already has a writer attached to the project.
The plot is yet to be released, but the series has been compared to the recently picked up Harry Potter television series which is going to follow one book per season of the series. Similarly, there is no cast released yet, but both Rob and Taylor have spoken in the past about being ready/open to play Edward and Jacob again, so who knows what could happen here.
Speaking of much-loved books, although the Amazon Prime series Daisy Jones and the Six is over, it’s become such a beloved series that there’s talk of potentially continuing the series beyond the book. Fingers crossed that works out!
Over at Netflix, the Duffer Brothers – the creators of Stranger Things – have begun work on another project with Netflix and their company Upside Down Productions.
The series is called The Boroughs and will be an eight episode limited series that follows a supernatural mystery.
This is also another big week for movies. Again, there are tons of releases today. To see them all, check out this list.
Some highlights include Evil Dead Rise, Ray Romano’s Somewhere in Queens, and the one I’m personally most excited for: Ghosted, starring Boston’s own Chris Evans.
Ghosted is about a man (played by Chris Evans) who goes on a date with a character played by Ana de Armas. He falls for her quickly, but before they can go on a second date, he finds out that she’s a secret agent and they get entangled in an international adventure to save the world.
Check out the trailer below.
Lastly, don’t miss the show at the Xfinity Center on July 25th starring Boy George, Culture Club, Howard Jones, and Berlin. Tickets go on sale today at 10am and you can purchase them here.
See you back here next week for another edition of The Buzz!
