Jordyn’s Buzz – June 7th, 2024

We’re reaching the end of an era tonight! Pat Sajak’s last episode of Wheel of Fortune airs on ABC later today. All week, the network has been honoring Sajak with a series of farewell episodes, and tonight, we’ll see his last new episode. Starting in September, Ryan Seacrest will be taking over hosting duties.

As for music, Cyndi Lauper announced this week that she’s going on a Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour. She’s stopping in Boston on October 26th and you can grab your tickets today at 10am on Live Nation!

There’s also a new Cyndi Lauper biopic out now on Paramount+ called Let the Canary Sing. The biopic premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and explored Lauper’s life and career as an artist, performer, and activist. Along with the film, you can also listen to a new career spanning album that goes from her early days as an artist to a global breakout success.

News also is coming out about the new Bruce Springsteen film called Deliver Me From Nowhere. The film will explore the making of Springsteen’s album Nebraska, a dark album that explores themes like death, crime, and economic hopelessness. It’s based off of the book of the same title by Warren Zanes. The film will explore the process leading up to the making of the album as well as the influence it had on artists after its release.

Jeremy Allen White is rumored to be playing The Boss.
