Meet our first Hometown Hero!
Twenty years ago, Kevin McKenna of Hanson took his daughter to her first elementary school dance. Unfortunately, Kevin witnessed first-hand how his special needs daughter was treated by both students and parents who shunned her. After that day, Kevin vowed to create an event where any special need child or adult felt welcome and included.
Many years later, Prom Angels conducts an annual prom event, allowing everyone the chance to make special prom memories.
Congratulations to Kevin McKenna, our first Hometown Hero for his contributions to our community! If you know someone doing great things in our area, fill out the form below to tell us about them and nominate them as a Hometown Hero !
